Hi, my name is Matthew Pingel. Technically I’m an electrician but one of my passions is photography, so I decided to create this website as an outlet for that.

I value honesty so I’m going to give a disclaimer right now: I am a beginner at photography. I know how to use my camera, but I don’t have a lot of experience with photo composition. This website is a storage place for my various photography projects as I improve my skills in the field, and so I can share my journey with others. I’m currently studying Certificate IV in Design (Photography) in my spare time around my work and will share my progress with that course on this site as well.

FACTS ABOUT ME

• I’m engaged to the love of my life, Laura, and I’m so happy to be a part of her family with her two sons Harlan and Tyler.
• I have been a qualified electrician since 2007.
• My passion for video games led me to create a podcast called Drop Bear Gaming in 2011 with my brother Lucas.
• Before becoming an electrician I studied web design and programming, although I never began a career with those skills.
• Music is another of my passions and I am currently learning to play guitar.
• I love to watch AFL and I’m an avid Geelong Cats supporter.
